About a week ago I was cruising on youtube, and found a band that sounded like dinosaur jr, meets ride, meets pavement, meets everything I love about music. That video was by a band called Yuck, and it was the song Shook Down, off their self-titled Album. I'm only a few months behind on the discovery of this band, but still, its golden.
The album kicks off with a song called Get Away, which is a nice lo-fi/shoegaze song. Its very melodic, but also very 'rock and roll' song.
The next cut is, probably one of my favorites, called "The Wall" is another fuzzy buzzy song, but its a love song. A fuzzy, buzzy love song, about longing and yearning.
