Swap meets

Nothing music related. I just wanted to write about growing up and pounding swap meets. Hanging out with folks with keen eyes for important bits helped me develop a sharp eye. I dunno, I just remember going to swap meets a lot, and wanted to talk about it.

Marion county car swaps and bike swaps. The open air and generally spring/fall swaps made for an interesting setting. I dunno, I really didn't like them but in hindsight they were the most fun. The State fairground super swaps were good, and I'll never forget going to them.

I know its a beaten and bloodied horse, but it kind of sucks that ebay killed swap meets. I mean, in a sense it has, deals are harder to come by, and people generally know what stuff is worth. I mean, I've got some sweet deals (A dixco bullet case tach for $10 bucks, that WORKED), but they're just hard coming.

Anyway. I like swap meets.
