Music. Nail Salon Radcity

Alright, finally. Here it is. Music.

Nail Salon, hailing from the B.C. released a sweet little EP in 2008 called Radcity. Its a nice mixture of indie rock and electro mentalities. The stories are great, and they come off with a very fond nostalgic feel. It also discusses the internal struggle of growing up as a whole, such as the first lines"Tape Deckz": "growing up is giving up good things/ good things like laughing in running/ Growing up is giving up good things/ I hope I'm never 16." Which the narrator finally changes his mind set as he gets older in the story of the record, in the song "Street Fighterz" "Maybe I've been wrong, all along/ maybe growing up isn't so bad after all. X2." It also should be noted that those are the first and last songs of the album, respectively.

In between those epiphanies are stories about being a kid, having fun, and growing. I'm very glad I found this ep when I did. I hope these guys eventually go somewhere. It isn't really the genre of music I'm heavy into right now, but it is brilliant.

Here is the stream, and you can download it too.
