I'm done moping, lets hear some tunes.

To all my readers, all four of you, I'm cutting the moping down. This is a decision that I made in order to actually not seem like I'm extremely emo. Just hot topic emo.

Anyway, what I'm going to try and do, is stick to pretty straightforward music journalism, and once or twice a month (or whenever necessary) drop a link to a band's bandcamp that I dig on, just to spread the word about the GREAT list of bands that don't care about money, and just want their music to be heard.

To me fellow noise-rockers, and lo/no-fi'ers out there. There is this band that has just about everything you could want, including free shit.

Ghost animal.

They rock.

They have a few of their eps on their band camp FOUND HERE (CLICK THE LINK AND LISTEN TO THIS).

This band is also on tumblr, and use that to post slews of songs.

The return of college noise, as this duo hail from a college in oregon, and would have been champions of the scene a mere year ago. Or should have been. They're really great. Aggressive on some cuts (California summer pt. 1), then its as though they're walking you home in a rainstorm (In your room). And all of their songs fall inbetween those constraints. They are are really good at capturing the moment of a song, and feeding it.

Howling "Why don't you go" in california summer just adds to the cathartic release that the furious guitar and punishing drum beat strive for. The snarky tone in the singers voice before and after just add to the feeling that he is being wronged somehow. "You don't want me to forget about you, the california sun 'hey baby tell me 'what can I do''". That should relate to you how the singer feels about whoever he is singing to, and should reflect the tone thereof.

Anyway, forget what I said, just listen to them. They just fucking rock. They're AS GOOD AS The dum dum girls, and every band of their ilk. If these guys don't break it big this year, than there is no justice in the blogopshere, and independant music.

Also, ghost animal, if you guys read this, not trying to S your D, just trying to be honest.
Also like free tunes, so if you keep doing that, we'll be right as rain.

Sincerely- Wesley (Reverb Splash; Echo crash).

P.P.S. if you don't want to click on that "oh-so-hard to click" link

I'll enclose a video. Can't wait to blast this, along with open pipes this summer. Stoked.
